In the course of sponsoring performances by the best of the dance world, it is gratifying to present a group that recognizes the excellence of Hawaiian artists. Long time company member and Hilo native Eddie Taketa returns to dance in an evening that will feature a new piece set to Jake Shimabukuro’s music. Also planned is a piece called “Castles,” that invokes the romances of fairy tale characters.
